Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Customer Order Management
(i) Receive, evaluate and confirm the customer order; identify and analyze the gaps between forecasting plan and actual customer order terms; and create the delivery orders in the system for order completion in order to fulfill our delivery commitment to our customers;
(ii) Review delivery performance, identify and solve the order delivery issues in order to improve our delivery performance to customers.STR/ALT/MFG LT
Capacity Planning
Collect and analyze the raw data for production capacity planning, balancing the in-house capacity and sub-contract capacity according to companies development strategy in order to optimize the production capacity ultilization and meet both the short term delivery demand and long-term development plan.
Production Planning
Release and monitor production order, follow up the output against each production order and co-ordinate the resources to quickly solve the daily production issues in order to ensure the delivery of the component required.
Inventory Management
(i) Identify and analyze the excess/non-active inventory items and co-ordinate with either internal or external parties in order to reduce the inventory level;
(ii) Calculate and apply for inventory scrap in order to recongnize inventory risk financially and release resources for normal production;
(iii) Drive other departments to clear-up the quality blocked inventory in a timly manner in order to avoid building up unnecessary excess inventory;
(iv) Monitor and reduce inventory days in order to improve inventory turns
Inter-company Purchasing
Source, release and follow-up the inter-company purchasing orders; and maintain the inter-company purchasing database in order to obtain the most optimal deal amongst inter-company suppliers.
What your background should look like:
5 years + related experience, skilled at planning
Bachelor degree and above
Good written & oral English communication skills
