Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

• Day to day supervision of staff.
• To deputise in the absence of supervision.
• Split your daily output as 50% indirect and 50% direct work (Direct work will mean you will still be required to set/operate CNC Machines)
• Responsible for other cells in the absence of supervision.
• Liaise with other departments and managers when required.
• Ensure company procedures and policies are maintained.
• To ensure health and safety regulations as laid down in company procedures and Government legislation are adhered to.
• Maintain efficient manning ratios on 1st and 2nd operations.
• To carry out and plan training for apprentices and staff in development.
• Liaise with the maintenance department regarding machine breakdowns and repairs.
• When required, to carry out TEOA/KAISAN/5s Audit activities.
• Maintain cleanliness of the area and equipment while applying 5S+1 and TPM.
• To carry out any other reasonable tasks as may be requested from time to time.
• Hold and record effective 1-1's with team members and feedback to the supervisor.
• To ensure a positive attitude and good team working is encouraged and supported.

Functions Supervised:

Machine waiting time, OEE, operations managed by supervision.

Assists/Co-operates:

Supervision and other members of the production departments as required.
