The Aerospace Defense & Marine (AD&M) business unit within TE Connectivity has a great opportunity for a qualified Environment, Safety and Health (EHS) Analyst to support our EHS efforts for our Katy, Texas facility. This position will report into the AD&M EHS Manager at our Katy, Texas location and is responsible for guiding and building EH&S programs as well as TE Corporate and AD&M business unit level EH&S initiatives to establish a zero injury and environmental defect culture.

Essential Duties include but may not be limited to the following:

o Provide a working interface between the facilities, Business Unit Management, and the Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Department.
o Develop policies, standards and procedures and work with management to ensure implementation and uniform compliance with regards to federal, state, local and company regulations throughout the facility.
o Conduct training as necessary to ensure applicable rules, procedures, and expectations are understood.
o Support the safety committee, where each department/area has representation. Serve as a facilitator for the safety committee and ensure that safety committee members are engaged in the overall EHS management of the site.
o Coordinate reporting, tracking, root cause and trend analysis of workplace incidents, injuries and illnesses as well as environmental incidents. Create corrective actions and assign to responsible parties as necessary.
o Provide guidance and improve JSA and Risk assessments. Ensure that all departments/areas have captured routine tasks in the JSA's and understand when to utilize a non-routine risk assessment.
o Work with management to set short (annual) and long term (3-5 year) goals for safety, health and environmental system improvements which include suitable reductions in injury and illness and environmental incidents.
o Facilitate and direct efforts to meet or exceed the goals.
o Provide guidance to the management team for continuous improvement for the overall safety culture.
o Work with site resources to plan, administer and track multiple safety programs including hazardous communication, contractor safety, machine guarding, behavioral based safety, powered industrial truck, electrical safety, and other safety policies/procedures.
o Facilitate and provide guidance and expertise in safety, health and environmental activities (following the Hierarchy of Controls) such as workplace inspections, new/existing equipment risk assessments, and industrial hygiene surveys. Work with department/area mangers to standardize all EHS documentation.
o Manage facility environmental permits, track annual energy reduction projects and monthly safety and environmental metrics.
o Responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the EH&S management system tool.
o Oversee the management of change (MOC) process to include any process changes and
new or transferred equipment.
o Assist or lead internal or external audits as needed.
o Participate in internal and external audits, provide corrective actions, assign responsibility, and track to closure.

What your background should look like:

 Due to ITAR regulations, current US citizenship or US Lawful Permanent Residency (green card) is required to apply for this position.
 Bachelor's degree in environmental or safety science or other related technical field with 5+ years of EH&S working experience, or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
 Behavioral Based Safety experience
 Knowledge of environmental permitting
 Working knowledge of industrial ergonomics
 Ability to work with management and mange safety initiatives
 Written and verbal communication skills to facilitate communication with Business Unit Management and shop floor personnel including ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
 Ability to prioritize issues, analyze situations and implement effective corrective actions.
 Master's degree preferred. Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification, preferred. OSHA500 or equivalent, preferred
 ISO 14001 management exposure, preferred

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $93,700 - $140,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
