Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Analyst, Event Planning to drive the planning and execution of events that advance TE Connectivity's brand and strengthen market relationships. In this role, working with the business units, you will be responsible for the definition of the needs after analysis of current or past representations, the logistical coordination, execution, and reporting of various events, including corporate meetings, trade shows, webinars, tech days and special events. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure events meet business objectives, are delivered on time, and stay within budget.

As an integral team member, you will lead and contribute to the development of event strategies and manage the day-to-day tasks necessary to ensure successful event execution. This role requires hands-on coordination, working closely with vendors, managing event logistics, and supporting the evaluation of event outcomes. It also requires an ability to establish relationships in a matrixed environment, having the ability to raise your voice, concerns and suggestions and demonstrate the benefits of any recommendations you'd make. Your focus on operational excellence, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills will be crucial in ensuring seamless event experiences that align with TE Connectivity's goals.

Job Responsibilities:

Event Planning & Coordination
• Drive the development and implementation of event strategies that align with TE Connectivity's business objectives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to define event goals, target audiences, and desired outcomes.
• Support the creation of event concepts, themes, and formats that meet organizational objectives.
• Prepare detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies, ensuring all event logistics are coordinated effectively.

Vendor & Sponsorship Management
• Work with vendors and third-party hosts to ensure timely deliverables and adherence to event requirements.
• Assist in negotiating contracts with vendors and sponsors within approved budget limits, ensuring quality and timely execution.

Event Logistics & Execution
• Oversee logistics for events, including vendor management, venue selection, catering, technology setup, and on-site coordination.
• Assist with pre-event setup, on-site execution, and post-event breakdown.
• Ensure branding and event messaging are integrated consistently across all materials and experiences.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with various internal teams (marketing, sales, finance) to coordinate event logistics, content creation, registration, and on-site support.
• Work with stakeholders on details such as invitations, marketing materials, staffing, and event schedules.

Post-Event Reporting & Evaluation
• Assist with post-event activities, including gathering feedback, processing expenses, and reconciling invoices.
• Contribute to post-event evaluations to assess the success of events and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare post-event reports summarizing key outcomes, metrics, and ROI.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in event planning and execution, with a track record of successfully managing virtual and in-person events.
  • Project & Financial Management: Strong project management skills, including budget planning and financial tracking.
  • Vendor Negotiation & Management: Experience negotiating contracts with vendors and managing relationships to ensure event success.
  • Event Tools: Proficient in using event management software, A/V technology, and online event platforms (web and mobile).
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Detail-Oriented & Time Management: Ability to manage complex logistics while meeting deadlines and ensuring high-quality event delivery.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel globally and domestically up to 5-10% for event-related needs.
