The Event Marketer serves as an internal expert in event strategy, project management, and event development, both at external conferences and large- and small-scale company-hosted events. The Event Marketer sources, executes, and contracts our events as well as oversees critical processes and projects spanning multiple stakeholders. This team member will drive systems and processes to ensure globally consistent, high-quality on-brand experiences across events for multiple personas, inclusive of executives.

What you'll do:
- Own the development and execution of a wide array of events (executive events and conferences, customer summits, and third-party tradeshow support) with the goal of building brand awareness, deepening customer relationships, or contributing to growth goals across the YourCause business.
- Partner closely with Demand Generation and Product/Content Marketing teams to develop cohesive and comprehensive event strategy.
- Oversee all operational activities needed to prepare and execute large and complex events for the YourCause business, defined as follows:
○ Develop agendas, select speakers, and create event-specific run-of-show as needed
○ Research and select venues
○ Manage event software platforms
○ Partner with creative teams to conceptualize and produce event visual identity, experience, signage, and materials
○ Manage onsite logistics (staff, vendors, etc) and resolve last-minute issues as needed
○ Lead internal briefings with stakeholders as needed
○ Manage all post-event activities, including internal debrief, analysis, and budget reconciliation
○ Communicate with and keep internal and external stakeholders informed of event vision, program, logistics, and outcomes
○ Prepare and deliver reports to executive and senior leadership teams
○ Develop and track event budgets, ensuring compliance with company procedures for event expenses - Manage and negotiate all event vendor relationships (conference brokers, speakers bureaus, print houses, promotional providers, software providers, trade show managers) and vendor contracts and RFPs (hotel room blocks, venues, catering, speakers, rentals, etc.)
- Oversee and manage key operations including but not limited to venue management, food and beverage, hotel/housing, staffing, material production, registration, audio visual, transportation, and special events
- Lead the strategy and execution of thoughtful attendee experiences (visuals, lighting, registration, break stations, special guests, VIP management)
- Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and partner with internal clients to encourage innovation, share best practices, and deliver success and ROI
- Assist with communications strategy as outlined by demand generation and/or product marketing teams
- Collect and analyze event feedback gathered by surveys to measure team's effectiveness and make recommendations to enhance processes
- Create and maintain event templates including vendor contracts, communications and run-of-shows
- Recommend event planning efficiencies to reduce the cost of running events for the organization
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
What you'll bring:
- Minimum 7+ years of experience, with demonstrated success planning variety of event type and sizes, upwards to 1000+ attendees
- Experience with project management, setting and developing timelines, project plans, roles and responsibilities, and production coordination
- Ability to forge strong relationships with internal clients and strategic partners
- Effective negotiation skills and the ability to understand and negotiate contracts
- Strong attention to detail and superior prioritization skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to articulate thoughts concisely and adapt to different audiences
- Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
- Analytical and creative mindset
- Ability to frequently stand and move office equipment/furniture, and to regularly lift equipment and supplies up to 35 pounds at event venues
- Ability to work flexible work hours including weekends, early mornings and/or late evenings to support special event needs
- Asana or other program management experience strongly preferred

The starting base pay is $77,700.00 to $104,500.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
