Job Description:

The Technical Delivery Lead, Core Platforms role provides oversight, consultative advice and guidance as the lead network delivery & engineering resource within the Network Services team. Supporting a team of network build and engineering team members, this role helps facilitate technology delivery coupling subject matter expertise in core technologies to TD's network environment as well as aiding in the engineering and solution design elements of new technology execution. A highly visible role within Network Services, this position also leads the future direction of development and design to be used across the network framework.

  • Lead the technical execution of network delivery projects, from design to deployment.
  • Collaborate with network build, engineering, and architecture team members to develop and implement network solutions based on business requirements.
  • Ensure that project deliverables align with technical standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, project teams, and Level 3 troubleshooting of issues.
  • Develop and implement processes to control and reduce technology risks within network infrastructure projects and platform delivery.
  • Develop and recommend technical strategies and solutions to optimize the network run state
  • Collaborate and liaise with business leaders, technology professionals and external partners to deliver network outcomes - for project delivery, technology stability, and establishing scope of solutions.
  • Assist in developing technical posture for new technologies from Network Architecture across team members.

  • Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate preferred
  • 10+ years relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in building, developing, and providing management of large-scale global network solutions
  • Strong understanding of regulated environments and compliance needs around network delivery.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Data-driven approach to decision making
  • Interest in enhancing expertise, staying current with emerging industry trends, new technologies and best practices to help deliver effective solutions.
  • Previous experience working independently as a lead on diverse, highly-complex and multi-faceted assignments.
  • Can be an inspiring and reliable coach/educator for small teams.
  • Strength as a key resource in technical knowledge transfer between project teams, the business and/or outside vendors.
  • Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SDWAN technologies, preferably Aruba EdgeConnect SDWAN and Cisco SDWAN. Understanding of other vendor technologies in this space is good to have.
  • Strong understanding of Network Admission Control (NAC) 802.1x and their implementations
  • Solid understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and their application in complex network environments.
  • Focus on network security principles and the ability to assess and mitigate risks within network infrastructure projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize network performance.
  • Commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in network engineering.
