As the Consultant, Technology Delivery Leader (TDL), your primary responsibilities include Consumption Management, Project Delivery, and Relationship Management. You will be accountable for project delivery within I&O, driving efficiencies in the consumption of infrastructure products, and building strong relationships with I&O Technology Product Managers. You will be a key contributor in the portfolio management lifecycle.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Leads, with application and infrastructure teams, efficiency efforts to improve consumption of infrastructure products.
Accountable to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure projects while also serving as their point of escalation for infrastructure issues.
Partners with Technology Product Managers and others in support of infrastructure projects.
Provides consultation and business-case development in support of infrastructure project delivery.
Consulting to incorporate industry best practices, trends and recommendations on infrastructure technology delivery and project management.
Encourages adherence to Nationwide Engineering Infrastructure Standards by reducing the amount of custom technology and solutions introduced into the environment.
Identify, consult, and recommend solution improvements for consumption and optimization of infrastructure products.
Support of new product introduction driven by Technology Product Managers.
Assist with the planning of Infrastructure resources in support of prioritized infrastructure projects.
Accountable for the delivery of the infrastructure project portfolio.
Ensures delivery and fulfillment of requests for infrastructure products and services.
Consults with Technology Product Managers on reporting for product consumption.
Provides reporting for project delivery, infrastructure initiatives, currency and new technology.
Partners with Technology Product Managers to provide voice of the customer into technology products and services.
Nurture and grow relationships to enable speed, consistency, and delightful customer experience.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Director, Technology Delivery. Direct reports not typically assigned.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is preferred. Strong project management skills and technical expertise are also highly desired.
License/Certification/Designation: Technology certifications or designation are not required, but encouraged (i.e.: AWS, Azure, scripting and development languages, delivery methods, security).
Experience: 8 years or more of experience with IT Infrastructure, including hardware, middleware, operating systems, data storage and data warehousing, voice/data/video networking, contact center technologies, multimedia, lab and production facilities and collaboration tools. Experience managing complex/scalable processes and projects.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Must have the ability to analyze complex situations and analyze risk profiles. Must possess interpersonal savvy, sound decision-making, negotiation skills and leadership ability. Must have strong project as well as process management skills. Must have strong oral and written communication skills to interact with all associate levels, senior management and vendors. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge is a plus.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
