Job Description:
Reporting to Product Group Owner of Payment Processing Product Group under RMMB Journey. The Product Manager will be responsible for working with PODs within Payment Processing Product Group, leading product development specific towards acquirer clearing, settlement and reporting related components, aligning with regulatory and compliance changes, meeting merchant needs and managing end-to-end seamless transaction processing deliverables and ensuring the achievement of business OKRs.
Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- The role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to be hands-on and dive into detail, and collaboration with various PODs, technology, operations and compliance to drive product development and enhancements to achieve the expected results.
- Identify opportunities to improve and optimize clearing and settlement workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for discrepancies or delays in settlement processes, oversee testing of clearing, settlement, and reporting systems before deployment, and ensure smooth implementation of product updates and changes.
- Responsible for prioritizing the product backlog, working closely with POD Product Owner to ensure the most valuable and critical features/epics are developed first. This includes grooming and refining user stories.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop requirements, gather feedback, and ensure product capabilities align with business value and meet regulatory and compliance needs.
- Understand the risks, responsible for bringing products to realization from definition through to operations.
- Ensure timely notification and escalation of possible issues/problems while assessing options and recommendations for prompt resolution.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships by effectively communicating and regularly sharing information, learnings, and knowledge with partners to make it easier to deliver legendary service and reduce friction for our merchants.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by embracing diversity and supporting and proudly representing TD in the community.
Job Requirements
- Preferably working experience in the payments industry, with a focus on merchant acquiring (e.g., compliance, settlement and clearing).
- Proven experience working within an Agile framework.
- Demonstrate willingness, motivation, and the ability to work independently and autonomously in managing various initiatives, while also developing strategic thinking and planning throughout product execution.
- Exhibit strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on maximizing throughput to meet both customer and colleagues needs.
- Work closely with Product Group Owner and Product Owners to navigate and introduce various clearing, settlement, and reporting changes to continuously enhance product value for both customers and the business.
- Experience interacting with various business & technology partners, both at the working team and leadership levels.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively lead diverse teams.
- Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills, detail-oriented with the ability to follow up on items or determine appropriate steps for timely resolution.
- Strong verbal/written communication and facilitation skills, adapting style and technique to a diverse audience.
- Experience with presenting and sharing recommendations to senior management and executives.
