Job Description:

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

You will be working in a strategic marketing role at one of the world's Top 100 brands. The TD Marketing team mandate is to develop and execute brand, marketing, community and environment strategies to meet business objectives and elevate the TD brand. We make decisions based on what our customers want and are driven by customer data and insights. You will be working amongst experienced strategic professionals driving business results through: Strategy development & implementation, integrated customer communication plans, financial results, owning significant marketing budgets, developing annual marketing plans, influencing business strategies, product development and innovation, and by collaborating with key partners across the organization.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This 4-month summer term (May 5th - Aug 29th, 2024) you will have the opportunity to work in the Digital Social and Content Marketing team, North American Social Centre of Excellence. The North American Social COE is the centre of expertise on social media and owner of organic social strategy which includes our organic social media content presence, social listening, analytics, governance, influencers and internal social selling program.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision; establish priorities, and use your strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to add value to each project you are assigned.
  • Define opportunities for continued enhancements to business processes and make recommendations within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Developing innovative social media strategies to deliver high performing content that boosts audience sentiment and meets or exceeds organizational KPIs.
  • Identifying gaps and future opportunities for the brand including trends and tools to enhance the overall social experience, especially in the financial services sector
  • Working with platform partners to stay on top of social media trends, ecosystem changes, and best practices to optimize content strategies and educate the larger Marketing team
  • Contribute to our internal social selling program including reporting, strategy, adoption and growth. Recognizing gaps and opportunities for ambassadors in different lines of businesses and overall program. Along with maintaining the Program's SharePoint site.
  • Contribute to Social Media Listening Capability including strategy, build, ongoing enhancements, evolution and adoption
    • Building listening and reporting dashboards across TD lines of business to enable planning and BU partners to gain and leverage insights into how people are talking about our brand and products

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary program, returning to school in September 2024 (business or a related degree/diploma with high academic standing and a demonstrated record of achievement)
  • Strong passion for social media, branding, and content marketing
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, analytics tool, and content management systems
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills are a plus (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Detailed oriented, creative, and a proactive team player
  • Problem solving skills and proven analytical capabilities
  • Quantitative ability to draw insights from data
  • English and French Bilingual is an asset
  • Excellent verbal communication and written communication skills
  • Proven strength managing relationships
  • Highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
