Job Description

Principal responsibilities you'll be entrusted with include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with sales traders to support clients, assist with client requests, conduct day-to-day activities which facilitate client trading
  • Allocate client trades to the proper accounts
  • Conduct research and obtain market data through Bloomberg, Trading systems, and internal databases
  • Maintain the group's online, client-facing, web portal
  • Design and implement front-office solutions to optimize trading operations
  • Assist in multiple marketplace modeling and ad-hoc quantitative research
  • Coordinate with various groups (middle office, back office, technology, clients) in resolving technical and settlement issues in trading operations
  • Contribute towards the development of marketplace modeling and ad-hoc quantitative research

Job Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
  • Have a combination of strong financial/analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and be adept at financial modeling and valuation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills are mandatory as the job requires you to speak directly with clients
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with others (both with internal and external stakeholders)
  • Highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a proactive manner
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail is a MUST
  • Experience with Python, SQL, VBA and Bloomberg is a plus (requirement of these skills vary by desks)
