Job Description:

Asset Securitization Group at TD Securities:

TD Securities is one of Canada's most active dealers in Debt and Equity products. Our Sales and Trading business deals with institutional investors, corporations and governments worldwide in the trading and sale of outstanding and new issue products.

The Asset Securitization Group (ASG) is responsible for the origination and structuring of securitization products at TD Securities in asset classes ranging from residential and commercial mortgages, auto and equipment loans and leases, credit card receivables, trade receivables, among other different asset classes. There is a total of 16 professionals working in the Toronto office and 10 in New York, dealing with all aspects of a securitization transaction, including client relationship, modelling, credit rating process, and legal documentation.

Job Description

Your term as a Global Markets Co-op, Asset Securitization:

The successful candidate will join a small and highly experienced team of securitization professionals and acquire hands on experience in the structured credit and securitization space and develop valuable and highly sought-after industry experience.

  • Work as part of a team to maximize business opportunities and provide financial solutions to our commercial, corporate and institutional client base
  • Ensure your team achieves its objectives by foreseeing client needs and developing an unparalleled level of service with confidence

Job Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
  • Have a combination of strong financial/analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and be adept at financial modeling and valuation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skills are mandatory as the job requires you to speak directly with clients
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with others (both with internal and external stakeholders)
  • Highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a proactive manner
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail is a MUST
