Job Description:

Department Overview

The FICC Technology team is responsible for the delivery of technical solutions across the Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange and Commodities (FICC) markets covering all areas of the trading operation from Sales, Trading, Operations, Risk and others. The team is over 150+ people with developers, analysts, testers and project managers in Toronto, New York, Dublin, London and Singapore.

Job Role/Responsibilities

  • Lead the FICC Technology development team in Singapore, coordinating development activities across the APAC region
  • Responsible for hiring and investing in the development team to position for success
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the region to ensure their asks are being represented and are part of the FICC delivery pipeline
  • Partner with the Support team to ensure they have the necessary skills and expertise
  • Work closely with the global FICC leads to ensure knowledge and expertise exists within Singapore on the key applications
  • Build visibility through delivery with the senior TD Securities Technology leadership team
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange or Commodities markets
  • Point contact in APAC for all Production Support items escalated to the development team

Job Requirements

  • Maintain strong development skills. Particular focus on React, Typescript, Node, Java
  • Desirable to have Low Latency/Zero GC, Solace, Hazelcast, ZeroMQ, Google ProtoBufs, REST services
  • Full stack development across UI, business logic and back-end development
  • Strong understanding and experience with multi-threaded programming
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior developer role
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading floor environment
  • Leader on technical design and solutions and to provides technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security; includes planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
  • Ability to plan, evaluate, recommend, design, operationalize, and support solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
  • Ability to lead and help team members on technical implementations.
