About the Job:
Taco Bell’s Digital innovation teams (squads) focus on agile testing and learning to quickly capture value from high-impact, high-feasibility efforts, using insights from customer analytics to determine how to create engaging experiences across the customer lifecycle.
The Technical Project Manager (Customer Data & Analytics and Customer Middleware) will be responsible for driving this agile way of working in both the squads as well as the product teams that bring these efforts to life. The Technical Project Manager will coordinate team workflow, monitor velocity, oversee the development and implementation of new features and tests, and manage risks for the squads/product teams dedicated to building new customer data insights and activating customer data across our channels. This role includes leading scrum ceremonies, representing the squad/product team in cross-functional forums, working with cross-functional teams to align roadmaps and sprint/release cycles, and identifying/resolving .roadblocks in order to ensure team goals are met.
The Technical Project Manager (Customer Data & Analytics and Customer Middleware) will report to the Director, Digital Commerce Program Management.
The Day-to-Day:
- Maintain a program-level plan/roadmap representing all committed work within the platform portfolio, ensuring alignment with engineering capacity to deliver on-time, on-budget, quality delivery
- Serve as the Scrum Master, leading Scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and coaching the team on Agile principles and practices to promote continuous improvement
- Clearly and consistently communicate status, issues, and risks to leadership and stakeholders, while managing work estimation, dependencies, resource capacity, and schedules
- Oversee the release management process, including coordinating release schedules, preparing release documentation, and conducting release readiness reviews
- Build cross-functional partnerships to ensure projects adhere to architectural, security, and testing standards, following established methodologies
- Active involvement and influence in building out project management capabilities by participating in establishing standard tools and best practices that can be used across projects
- Facilitate ongoing intake triage, prioritization, handoffs, and tradeoffs between technical platform teams
- Foster a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised by being accountable & transparent. If needed, willing to call out possible issues or blockers
- Collaborate with other Agile practitioners to share best practices, address challenges, and promote a unified approach to Agile implementation across teams
Is This You?
- Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years relevant work experience in cross-functional Agile project/program management
- Certification in one or more Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, Lean) is a plus
- Demonstrated experience working with technology platform teams such as Product development and/or Engineering/QA
- Comfort with technical jargon and familiarity with infrastructure, database, digital products & platforms
- Proficient in using Jira Software, Confluence, or Monday.com for managing Agile projects
- Strong project and program management skills
- Excellent communication, capable of conveying information clearly and promptly with technical and non-technical teams
- Fosters collaboration among teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure the platform's holistic success and has a fail-fast mentality of testing & learning
- Detail-oriented, pushes to understand detail to assess dependencies / risks / blockers

Salary Range: $118,600 - $163,900 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
