About the Job:

As the Head of Supply Chain LA&C, you will play a pivotal role in the Taco Bell International Supply Chain Team, contributing to a dynamic environment that thrives on collaboration, resourcefulness, and enthusiasm. This strategic position involves taking ownership of the supplier commercial relationship, encompassing price negotiation, contract performance, risk management, and corporate governance. You will be responsible for crafting and executing category strategies that align with the short and long-term goals of the LA&C market, navigating a complex matrix of internal and external relationships. The Head of Supply Chain LA&C will report to Sr. Manager of International Supply Chain and join an outstanding team and build upon the brand’s impressive track record of success.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Own procurement strategy across Taco Bell LA&C food & packaging
  • Own the LA&C business unit cost of goods performance by collaborating closely with franchisees, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
  • Mitigate annual inflation through effective category strategy, negotiation, and margin improvement projects.
  • Prepare and lead negotiations for categories to achieve business unit cost goals.
  • Own the regional spend smarter and risk management strategy for the business unit.
  • Ensure all suppliers are contracted appropriately to meet LA&C business needs. 
  • Performance manage suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply and uphold right-first-time quality standards.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to be the commercial contact for new suppliers, facilitating the effective delivery of the Marketing Calendar.
  • Support local business unit Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Product Development Manager on supplier issues, including supplier development and crisis management.
  • Partner with the Commercialization team to regionalize products, supporting cost and growth targets.
  • Manage legal, environmental, and CSR aspects associated with food and packaging to ensure compliance.
  • Effectively communicate project and category updates to the Taco Bell business unit cross-functional teams.
  • Understand internal stakeholder needs and develop an external knowledge of the impact on Taco Bell LA&C supply chain
  • Support new market entry, leading Supply Chain assessments, strategy for short term and long term profitability, and market launch.
  • Partner with US Supply Chain (RSCS) on procurement, S&OP, and category management

Is This You?

  • 10+ years’ experience in the field or related area
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Experience working at international restaurant business, food retailer, food supplier, or in food manufacturing is a plus
  • Proven success in managing cost & suppliers as well as improving work processes and leading change in a complex and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate workflow and outputs efficiently across multiple functional groups
  • Strong communications (presentation, verbal, writing) and relationship development skills
  • Data and analysis-driven with strong Excel skills
  • Self-starter capable of solving complex problems with limited data
  • Executive presence to negotiate on behalf of business unit and work with franchisees
  • Strong process creation and optimization

  • High level of intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to influence diverse customers in cross-functional setting

Salary Range: ­­$134,500 to $158,300 annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
