About the Job:
Taco Bell Asia Pacific is looking for a Commercial Manager to lead strategy, drive special projects and manage aggregator and other commercial relationships to build a solid foundation for expansion within the region. The role will work closely with the regional leadership team and key franchisees to drive growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy, finance or commercial management roles. Experience within F&B is preferred.
The APAC region comprises 14 markets with 400+ stores, with the top 3 markets being Australia, India and China. The role reports to the Chief Growth Officer, APAC.
The Day-to-Day:
Regional Strategy
- Analyze market and F&B industry data to identify trends and growth opportunities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic initiatives, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
- Provide financial modelling and analysis for growth initiatives (e.g. new market entry, M&A, development agreements)
Franchisee Partnership:
- Collaborate with key franchisee leaders to develop market-specific annual plans, 3-year strategy and long-term vision
- Build strong working relationships with franchisee leaders and team, supported by regular cadenced and documented engagement plans
- Ensure clear agenda, objectives and follow-up for all cross-functional market visits
Project Management:
- Define project plans, timelines and KPIs to drive strategic goals as per AOP
- Track and report progress of key projects, escalate issues and enable cross functional collaboration
- Manage cross-functional workstreams and timeline for onboarding of new franchisees / launch in new markets
- Engage with Taco Bell international and cross-brand business units within Yum to enable best practice sharing between global projects
Aggregator and Commercial Relationships:
- Define regional aggregator strategy (in collaboration with marketing and digital teams)
- Manage regional aggregator relationships and define framework for commercial engagement
- Support franchisees in aggregator negotiations
- Identify other regional commercial relationships to drive growth
Is This You?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in strategy, finance or commercial roles, preferably within the QSR or retail industry
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex business information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to motivate teams, clarify complex situations into simple direction, build consensus, and mediate compromises when necessary
