JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for conducting comprehensive market research, analyzing salary data, and providing strategic guidance to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness in our compensation practices. Reporting to the Compensation Director, the successful candidate will leverage their expertise in compensation analysis and proficiency in tools such as Market Pay, Workday, and other survey platforms to drive informed decision-making. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a significant impact on our organization's compensation strategy and contribute to our mission of excellence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the collection and analysis of compensation data from various sources, including market surveys, benchmarking studies, and internal salary data.
  • Utilize advanced tools and methodologies to conduct in-depth analysis of compensation trends, competitive positioning, and pay equity considerations.
  • Partner with senior leadership to design and implement compensation programs, including base pay structures, incentive plans, and recognition programs, that support organizational objectives and foster employee engagement.
  • Conduct complex job evaluations and provide expert guidance on job leveling and salary banding to ensure alignment with market trends and internal equity principles.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to establish competitive salary ranges for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers, and provide recommendations for salary adjustments as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation-related matters, providing guidance and support to HR colleagues and business leaders on compensation policies, practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports, presentations, and executive summaries to communicate compensation analysis findings, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in compensation and provide thought leadership to drive continuous improvement and innovation in compensation strategies and processes.

ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and sensitive matters.
  • A strategic mindset with a customer-focused approach and a commitment to driving results and delivering value.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in compensation analysis or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in compensation program design, market pricing, and job evaluation methodologies.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Relevant certification (e.g., CCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL SKILLS:

To be successful in this position, the individual performing the duties must successfully demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools is required. Experience with advanced compensation survey platforms such as MarketPay and HRIS systems like Workday is highly desirable.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This position must be performed from the corporate office facility based in Houston, Texas.
