Synaptics' IT Infrastructure Operations team is looking for a HPCC Engineer with a solid software background who can contribute to our SOC design efficiencies by partnering with our semiconductor chip design teams and working closely with EDA vendors (Electronic Design Automation in Cloud).

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Provide tool support to 'Design & Verification' team members implementing System-on-Chip designs
- Evaluate and create tools which will enhance your team's productivity
- Maintain all aspects of our High-Performance Compute (HPC) Infrastructure
- Experience with IBM LSF, RTM, Exceed on Demand, SOS
- Understand requirements from the design community
- Working collaboratively to develop, support, debug both in-house and commercial EDA tools and flows
- Work closely with design, layout, verification, modeling, process teams and EDA vendors to incorporate new capabilities of their commercial tools, and to resolve issues
- Responsible for diagnosis, resolution, regression of reported problems
- Provide training, documentation and support
- You will also be working on developing solutions for the future that involve using ML and AI
Successful candidates for this position will have:
- Strong programming skills (Python, Perl, Java, etc.)
- Extremely strong knowledge of Linux & Ansible configuration management
- Strong background with administering & querying SQL & noSQL
- Strong Experience with Git, SVN, NetApp, AWS & AngularJS is a plus
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a cross-functional environment; cross-site and cross-time zones
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Documentation and presentation skills
- Bachelor of Science (MS is a plus) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
