Senior HPC Analyst

Río Grande, Mexico

We are seeking a Senior HPC Analyst who possesses robust technical skills in HPC infrastructure to manage daily operations and engineering tasks within the HPC environment.
The ideal candidate should have an engineering background coupled with extensive hands-on experience in deployment and optimization.
The selected individual will be part of the L3 HPC infrastructure engineering team, which assists the HPC cluster utilized by the Scientific Research Team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HPC infrastructure
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automation
  • Engage in incident resolution, software and hardware upgrades
Requirements
  • HPC general technical expert with over 7 years of experience
  • Proficiency in configuring and supporting HPC infrastructure
  • Proficient in Linux (any rpm-based), including kernel modules compilation and debugging tools (strace, coredump, tcpdump, etc.)
  • Skills in job schedulers (IBM LSF, Slurm)
  • Expertise in Bright Cluster Manager including installation and configuring
  • Knowledge of GPFS/Lustre filesystems
  • Understanding of InfiniBand/OmniPath network interconnect

  • Experience with hardware diagnostics, upgrades, and tuning (HCA InfiniBand, disk arrays - Lustre, Vast, IBM, servers Dell+HP)
  • Background in infrastructure monitoring (Zabbix, Splunk, Grafana, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Easybuild
  • Experience in a GxP environment
