Role Mission
The Process Optimization and Portfolio Specialist is a critical role within the R&D team, responsible for driving projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness, and supporting the Senior Portfolio Manager in managing and advancing the innovation pipeline. This role, in partnership with the Process Optimization Lead, will work collaboratively across many cross functional departments in order to define and implement new ways of working. They will also support the implementation of change management plans to ensure smooth implementation of process updates. Supporting the Sr. Portfolio Manager, this role will work with Innovation leads and project managers to ensure quality pipeline data is maintained, and projects are moved to the start of the commercialization process on time. The Process Optimization and Portfolio Specialist is expected to bring a combination of analytical skills, project management experience, and a drive for continuous improvement.

Role Responsibilities
• Work directly with key stakeholders to lead and support process improvement initiatives to reduce rework and improve quality and efficiency
• Leverage Lean/Six Sigma or other Process Improvement techniques to improve gaps in the Stage Gate process
• Maintain the long-term roadmap in Planisware in partnership with the Sr. Portfolio Manager, Project Owners, and Project Managers
• Support the Sr. Portfolio Manager prepare pipeline information for the monthly/quarterly S&OP, PMR, and other forums
• Look for trends and insights in the makeup of the 5-year Innovation Pipeline
• Develop training and/or change management materials
• Understand basic core project management methodologies, including waterfall and/or agile frameworks
• Works collaboratively across functions and levels to successfully implement small to medium process changes
• Keeps documentation (project timelines, training, and Visio workflows) up to date with all changes
• Moves projects through the long-term pipeline with quality data and on schedule to begin commercialization process
Qualifications
Certifications/Licensure- Six Sigma, Change Management, and Project Management Certifications Preferred
Level of experience- Experience in related fields such as Change Management, Continuous Improvement, or Project Management. Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel.

Travel %- 5-10% Global travel
