Role Responsibilities
Manage personnel to include hiring, discipline, time and attendance, performance reviews and development plans.
• Submit recommendations for improvements and cost reduction both for CAPEX and OPEX. Leads the maintenance organization ensuring all team members obey all safety and environmental rules and regulations.
• Manage the team according to all Cruzan working rules and policies as well as those set out by the collective bargaining agreement.
• Perform time and attendance management of the Maintenance Personnel.
• Plan & coordinate training and development of Maintenance Personnel. Provide coaching when necessary.
• Conduct evaluation of skill level, performance and discipline of employees and act as a liaison between personnel and management
• Take an active role in the hiring, development and firing of employees with managerial and HR input
• Ensures all maintenance work is done in a safe manner, including strictly enforcing the Lock-Out/Tag-Out policy, as well as within all environmental rules and regulations.
• Align maintenance priorities to operations priorities to maximize reliability
• Assign manpower (internal and contractors) to the maintenance schedule and maximize efficiency; Ensure equipment availability.
• Verify autonomous maintenance is being performed to expectations.
• Create maintenance plans and enforce its execution according to maintenance criticality, for all assets.
• Coordinate the execution of emergency work.
• Coordinate the execution of preventative, predictive and proactive maintenance of plant equipment. Maintain, improve and enforce adherence to all maintenance master processes.
• Verify the execution of all work and uphold the highest degree of workmanship and cleanliness for all those under his or her supervision.
• Ensure that the appropriate equipment, parts, and materials are maintained in stock at all times and that they have been procured in the most cost-effective manner available.
• Assist with vendor/contractor cost quotes and scheduling on-site work as needed.
• Provide timely communication regarding the status of repairs, maintenance and equipment installation.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas utilizing 5S methodology.
• Obtain and continually refresh personal and team knowledge of all plant equipment, buildings, blueprints, pipelines, etc.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems and develop innovative solutions. Perform root cause analysis when necessary
• Verify, maintain and update all relevant information in the CMMS. Ensure all maintenance personnel is entering work feedback accurately and in a timely fashion
Qualifications
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in relevant filed and at least four years proven experience in a maintenance supervisory, lead or similar role or;
• Associates degree in a relevant field and at least 6 years proven experience in a maintenance supervisory, lead or similar role or;
• High School diploma with a trade school certificate in a relevant field and at least 8 years proven experience in a maintenance supervisory, lead or similar role.

• Ability to identify when plans are at risk and act or escalate accordingly in order to contain or correct issues.
• Must possess effective budgeting and performance management skills.
• Advanced Electrical and Mechanical knowledge.
• Computer literate in Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
