This school year marks the 19th anniversary of Success Academies and the launch of our mission to drive public education as an excellent, efficient, and equitable pillar of American society. During this time, Success Academies has grown faster than any charter network in the nation, building a vibrant network of 55 elementary, middle, and high schools. Our 20,000 children - from underrepresented communities- are out-performing students at top city and suburban schools across New York State. Looking forward, our goals are even more ambitious: to grow to 100 schools and to educate 50,000 children across New York City in a uniquely holistic pre-K-12 system, bringing transformational change here and across the country through extraordinary school quality.

About this role:

Success Academy has established a talent capability within the People Department to leverage innovative approaches to all of our school-based talent management workflows. A key enabler in achieving SA's ambitious goals is predictably attracting, developing, retaining, and advancing quality talent at scale across our school communities. We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative individual who is passionate about supporting talent development initiatives for our diverse school-based teams. This role will provide critical administrative and logistical support for enterprise-wide projects such as emerging leader programs, staff recognition events, and talent development processes.

In this role, you'll make impact by:

  • Supporting the efficient and centralized execution of performance management processes across distributed talent cohorts (school leaders, teachers, and non-instructional staff), ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Assisting in the Teacher Leader selection processes as part of our leadership pipeline and talent development strategy, including preparing and compiling performance data, and coordinating meetings or evaluations.
  • Coordinating administrative aspects of the promotion process for school-based leadership roles, such as calendaring interviews, drafting candidate communications, and maintaining process documentation under the guidance of Talent Management leadership.
  • Providing logistical and administrative support for flawless annual promotion and leader celebration events, including venue & catering research, vendor coordination, managing invitations, and working with our in-house AV team.
  • Assisting with the implementation of annual recognition initiatives (e.g., Excellence and Local Staff Awards) and staff incentives (e.g., stipends, bonuses) by tracking details in our HR systems, communicating to recipients, and auditing the accuracy of payments.
  • Supporting the delivery of career advancement-focused sessions for school-based staff by managing logistics, assisting with materials preparation, and collecting feedback for review by leadership.
  • Contributing to ad hoc projects across the People function, providing administrative support as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred in a relevant field such as business, psychology, organizational development, or a related area; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative, operations, or coordination role, preferably in a high-volume or process-oriented environment related to education, human capital, or events management.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach to managing tasks under guidance and oversight.
  • Strong organizational and event management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize, track details, and meet multiple deadlines reliably.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Eagerness to learn and collaborate cross-functionally, with a willingness to take direction and implement feedback, in service of achieving team goals.

What we offer:

  • An engagement-focused and high performance-oriented culture
  • Continuous learning and development opportunities
  • A flexible hybrid work environment that allows you to work on-site and from home
  • Mission-driven work that changes the lives of kids across New York City
  • A robust benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance options; a 403(b) retirement plan with company matching
