The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be a member of a highly motivated team. This role will develop, enhance, and sustain innovative solutions to improve the customer experience in the health care industries. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, test cases for testing complex software in accordance with project requirements.
Seeking a Quality Assurance Tester with backend server and mobile testing experience such as iOS, Android, Linux/ Java. Develop and execute test cases for applications running on Prem and AWS environments, isolate and debug issues found during testing to provide solutions, identify, and report issues/defects, and work with development teams to diagnose issues. Ability to manage priorities and risks as defined by the product owner and QA leads.

What you will do:
- Performing the traditional SQA testing functions in a software environment as follows:
- Creating and maintaining test plans/ test scripts / regression tests
- Software defect troubleshooting and reporting across different mobile platforms and dial plans.
- Maintenance of test environments, including open-source operating systems, AWS, Jenkins and Ansible, GIT.
- Cross-train with-in the SQA Dept and other external departments (i.e. Support, Product Management, DevOps)
- Test multi-platform mobile VoIP applications including iOS and Android OS versions and devices.
- Work with Project Lead to identify the quality implications of known bugs and the impact of proposed changes to product definition on the testing process.
- Identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in embedded software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content.
- Conduct compatibility tests with other software programs, multiple operating systems, and network environments.
- Communicate issues found to development.
- Experience with defect tracking tools and repository tools such as JIRA, Team Support, Test Rail and SVN
- Execute test cases and generate useful bug reports containing detailed data and communication.
- Translate technical specifications into useable test plans and cases.
- Work with engineers to understand changes and new features.
- Accurately sets prioritie for issues that reflect the team's, department's, and company's goals.
- Work autonomously to create test plans and provide sign-off on functionality.
- Properly document issues in a bug tracking system like Jir.
- Adjust and deliver in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Strongly prefer experience in QA with Mobile products.
What You Need
Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- BS, Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 4+ years of recent work with mobile applications
- Strong experience with debugging and isolating defects
- Expertise with testing methodologies, test plans and test case development, and the defect reporting process
- Mobile device testing on iOS and Android
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly desired):
- Knowledge of following Standard Quality assurance testing techniques:
- Software development methods/process (i.e. Agile, SAFE, CMM practices)
- Requirements analysis
- Regression tests generation/execution
- Integration tests generation/execution
- Systems tests generation/execution
- Software defect generation
- Manual and Automation Regression tests generation/execution
- Knowledge of server/ mobile client development/deployment platforms and/or technologies for iOS and Android platforms.
- Knowledge of relational database management (i.e. MySQL, SQL)
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration servers such as Hudson and Jenkins
- Knowledge of Mobile Communications production deployment (i.e. .Google Play, App Store)
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Detailed oriented and self-starter
- Experience using Jira or other defect tracking tools
- Experience working in an Agile / Scrum development environment
- Knowledge of defect tracking and tools (i.e JIRA, Bugzilla, etc...)
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Able to work independently once given instructions and direction from team members.
- Able to communicate clearly across different department organizations (i.e., Developers, Product Managers, Tech Support and other SQA team members)
- Knowledge of installation, configuration and troubleshooting of server/ mobile client-based platforms with dial plans (i.e. Cisco PBX, , FreeSWITCH) is a plus.
- Knowledge of health industry systems and standards (i.e., EHR systems, HL7, alert and on-call systems like Rauland and Connexall) is a plus
$95,100 - $204,000 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors
