Regulatory Reporting - Assistant Vice President

The Assistant Vice President in this role will be responsible for supporting the preparation and review of daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to U.S. Regulators including but not limited to, Federal Reserve filings on Financial Condition and Income, Legal Entity Reporting Treasury International Capital ("TIC") reporting, Bureau of Economic Analysis surveys and Large Shareholding Reporting.

Responsibilities & Tasks Include:

  • Complete and accurate preparation and review of regulatory reports filed with applicable regulators, including FFIEC 031, FR Y9C, FFIEC 009, FR Y-11/2314, LSR, QFC etc
  • Analyze financial data in order to complete filings, understand fluctuations and uncover potential inaccuracies
  • Perform edit check reviews and follow up on applicable discrepancies
  • Perform reconciliations across products, reports and schedules
  • Execute source system data reconciliation versus General Ledger
  • Prepare monthly management reports and KPIs
  • Stay informed of regulatory changes and work with management to develop processes for implementation of new reporting requirements
  • Maintain detailed procedures and documentation for the above processes

About You:

  • CA / CPA/ MBA with 10-15 yrs. of experience in banking or financial services
  • Excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of stakeholder management and people management
  • Proven track record of successful project execution
  • Ability to multi-task and work under high pressure deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work with other departments and represent the team in a positive manner
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with bank reporting and US GAAP accounting
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity
  • Familiarity with financial products and financial institution operations

Skills/ Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and ability to manipulate data
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase, Spot Fire, AXIOM would be a plus
  • Financial and accounting skillset - knowledge of regulatory reports and forms
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
