Purpose Of Role:

The Project Team Manager is responsible for direct management of the team of PMs, as well as ensuring project deliverables are met on time and on budget for his/her own project.

Specific Duties:

Management duties:

  • Ensure all reports follow the PM process and deliver their tasks as per agreed SLAs;
  • Ensure direct reports develop their core PM management and soft skills;
  • Define & support career path and goals for direct reports;
  • Managing issues and escalations in reference to direct reports;
  • Ensure that specialist knowledge is kept current and is shared among team members.

Project Management duties:

  • Management of projects in their complete life cycle i.e. from Initiation through Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling and Closing;
  • Responsibility for all areas of project with the greatest focus on Scope Management and Time Management;

  • Promoting and advocating for Change Management;
  • Gathering and responding to user feedback regarding changes and implementation process.

Work Parameters or Boundaries:

Internal State Street Poland procedures & regulations (for management & employee relations);

IFDS Change Management/ PMO procedures & practices (for project-related work).

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Specific Qualifications / Skills:

Core business requirements

  • Experience in managing the team (setting up goals, providing feedback, developing employees);
  • Excellent project management skills, extensive project management experience and training;
  • Knowledge of Project Management Institute Standards or certification according to PMI will be an advantage;

Core soft skills

  • Excellent managerial skills - ability to manage people on tight time frames;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and facilitation skills;
  • Strong relationship management skills.

Other

  • Strong working knowledge of the Financial/ Fud/ Transfer Agency industry;
  • Good PC skills, including office applications and project scheduling and flowcharting software.

Level Of Education:

Higher education in technology, accounting, finance, business or equivalent;

Previous Level Of Experience:

5 years in Financial Services and/or implementation related experience and/or team management.
