Who we are looking for

State Street is seeking a Vice President in the Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) Office which organizationally sits within Global Treasury. The RRP Office is responsible for the US and international Recovery and Resolution plans, which identify options to recover financial strength and viability under severe stress and details the roadmap for executing on our preferred resolution strategy in the event of severe financial crisis.

This Vice President role is focused on leading governance and management activities required for (i) the development and submission of State Street's recovery and resolution plans, (ii) the planning and execution of key initiatives related to recovery and resolution planning, and (iii) providing complete and timely responses to regulator inquiries. Qualified candidates will be highly motivated to provide leadership and advance within the team, have the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues across a large organization, and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Primary skills for the candidate to be successful in this role include the ability to: (i) distill complex regulatory requirements and related updates / enhancements into well-written and detailed narratives within defined timeframes, (ii) balance numerous workstreams in driving effective completion of key deliverables, and (iii) present to bank executives and regulators on recovery and resolution topics as part of a highly visible team representing State Street.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with RRP team and other business area colleagues on ongoing maintenance and improvement of the RRP program; provide specific support on governance related plan content
  • Maintain knowledge of RRP regulatory requirements and work with RRP Legal on mapping requirements against plan content
  • Organize governance committee agendas, including managing forward topics, coordination of presentation materials, completion of meeting minutes, and tracking of action items
  • Develop response and presentations to address frequent regulator inquiries and meeting requests, including submitting materials by the required deadlines
  • Organize content in plan documentation system used for plan submissions, finalize review and formatting, and submit large volume of content by required deadlines through regulator platforms
  • Lead the status monitoring and reporting of project plans across all workstreams
  • Manage third party risk and contract requirements for system vendors and outside advisors
  • Manage the RRP key plan controls in a centralized platform

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelors or equivalent degree required in a business related field
  • 7-10 years of relevant financial industry experience preferred
  • Excellent writing skills along with ability to present effectively on complex topics, with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills, with an ability to work in a dynamic situation with changing priorities while still meeting deadlines
  • Highly proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and other reporting and documentation tools

Salary Range:
$110,000 - $185,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
