The Role:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Technical Leader to manage and optimize ServiceNow Discovery and oversee the development and maintenance of multiple integrations. This role requires a hands-on technical leader with expertise in ServiceNow Discovery, Graph Connectors, ETL processes, and a deep understanding of integration best practices. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flows, enhance visibility, and maximize the value of the ServiceNow platform.

Key Responsibilities:

ServiceNow Discovery Optimization:

  • Lead the configuration, management, and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery to ensure accurate and comprehensive discovery of infrastructure and applications.
  • Monitor and refine Discovery performance, addressing discovery errors & issues, coverage gaps and ensuring data accuracy in the CMDB.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align Discovery processes with business requirements and priorities.

Integration Management and Development:

  • Manage and optimize multiple integrations, including those leveraging ServiceNow Graph Connectors and custom ETL solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement robust integration architectures to enable seamless data exchange between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Ensure integrations are scalable, secure, and compliant with organizational and regulatory standards.

Technical Leadership:

  • Provide thought leadership and technical expertise for ServiceNow Discovery and integrations, staying updated on platform capabilities and industry trends.
  • Mentor and guide a team of developers and analysts to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues related to Discovery and integrations.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Work closely with IT, operations, and business teams to understand requirements, gather feedback, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts and updates effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with ServiceNow vendors and external partners to ensure alignment and delivery of critical capabilities.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze integration and Discovery performance metrics, identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Drive the adoption of automation and best practices to streamline operations and reduce manual interventions.
  • Lead initiatives to improve the CMDB's accuracy, completeness, and utility for business and IT operations.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in ServiceNow platform management, Discovery, and integrations, with 5 years' experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing complex integrations, including ETL processes and API-driven solutions.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules, including ITOM, CMDB, and Integration Hub.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow Discovery, Graph Connectors, and related technologies.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Deep understanding of ETL tools and techniques for transforming and migrating data.
  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow ITOM Implementation Specialist Certification.
  • ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Foundation Certification.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor technical teams in a collaborative, distributed environment.
