The Director of Marketing for North America Coverage and the Global Clients Division (GCD) sits within the Global Marketing team and is responsible supporting the Head of North America and GCD Marketing in delivering the marketing strategy. Through this role, this individual will help drive our One State Street value proposition and go-to-market approach across our different businesses, demonstrating the essential advantage we deliver to institutional investors with leading financial platforms, data, expertise and solutions that help enhance performance and better decision making.

As a successful candidate for this full-time role, you will help define the objectives of marketing activities and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The role will partner closely with the regional sales and commercial coverage leads to develop and implement a comprehensive regional marketing program. This will involve creating multi-channel campaigns aimed at increasing brand visibility, engaging target audiences, driving demand for State Street's set of solutions, and capturing and nurturing leads. Additionally, the role will also adapt and specialize global marketing programs for our GCD client base, developing a 'white glove approach' to enhance their relevance and ensure they resonate with target audiences to deliver return on investment.

This is a significant part of our business, and partnership across Corporate PR, Global Events and Sponsorship, International Marketing, Global Brand and Internal Communication will be crucial to ensure we are delivering the right message to the right clients at the right time. Close cooperation with the global campaign leads will also be necessary to ensure campaigns are delivering on the retain, strengthen grow goals set for the organization.

What you will be responsible for

As Director of Marketing, North America Coverage and GCD you will

  • Work with the wider marketing team members and business unit, sales and coverage teams to assist in defining marketing objectives and a comprehensive, combined marketing strategy
  • Directly responsible for ensuring those plans are executed on by the team within specified timeframes
  • Operate as a strategic business partner with the North America Commercial and Coverage team
  • Engage with internal clients/partners to understand their needs and provide strategic and tactical direction for North American marketing programs that align with overall company strategies and global positioning
  • Lead the efforts to evolve the North American brand and improve the company's position in the marketplace with key partners
  • Draft and submit budget proposals, accruals and recommend changes where necessary
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships with the coverage and regional teams, vital to the success of the campaign / project

Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
