Director, Product Marketing

Job Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Marketing, the Director of Product Marketing, will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of marketing strategies for data center and networking products. This role will manage a dedicated team that drives product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market initiatives aligned with business objectives. The Director will ensure alignment across product capabilities and market needs by effectively steering product marketing efforts, enhancing customer engagement, and driving growth. Additionally, this role involves close collaboration with Product Management, Technical Product Marketing, Solution Marketing, and Sales Enablement teams to ensure a cohesive approach to product launches and ongoing marketing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute robust product marketing strategies for data center and networking products, including market analysis, segmentation, and targeting
  • Lead and manage a team of marketing professionals responsible for delivering high-impact product positioning, launch strategies, and sales enablement materials
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing products and develop new offerings based on market feedback and technological trends
  • Establish and manage product messaging and positioning guidelines to ensure consistency, clarity, and impact across all marketing and sales channels
  • Create and oversee the production of effective marketing content that communicates product benefits, features, and differentiators across various channels, ensuring content resonates with and engages the target audience
  • Foster collaboration across Product Management, Technical Product Marketing, Solution Marketing, and Sales Enablement teams to streamline go-to-market processes and ensure effective communication between product development and market-facing teams
  • Track and report on key performance indicators related to product marketing effectiveness, market penetration, and customer feedback
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to support integrated marketing efforts

  • Product Launch Expertise: Proven track record in planning and executing successful product launches in the tech industry.

  • Content Development: Skill in creating impactful marketing content that resonates with targeted B2B audiences
  • Process Optimization: Experience in streamlining marketing processes for efficiency and greater impact
  • Presentation Skills: Strong presentation abilities to communicate strategies and results to senior management and external partners
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in using analytics tools to guide marketing decisions and optimize product positioning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in product marketing within the B2B tech sector, with a significant focus on networking products and services. Demonstrated success in developing and leading product marketing strategies in a fast-paced technology environment
