Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced business development individual with a proven track record of engaging various market participants and building relationships with senior executives across different client segments with the objective of expanding State Street's business and franchise in Korea. This is a new business development role, requiring you to research opportunities and market trend, build prospects relationships and manage client discussion. You will establish and maintain market and business development activities covering asset managers, asset owners, sovereign clients and insurance companies within Korea working together with North Asia region.
You will also serve as a thought leader and cooperate extensively with various regional organizations in deal construction, value proposition and to transfer critical market and product knowledge to other colleagues in the region to ensure commercial synergies across segments.

Major responsibilities
- Develop new business and execution strategy in Korea working together with North Asia region
- Deliver/exceed annual business development targets by executing business development strategies
- Lead locally the business development process and collaborate with the regional/global teams from prospecting through close, including lead generation, pipeline development, client meetings, prospect qualification, RFP completion and relationship management
- Develop an understanding for the target market, their challenges and opportunities, and ensure this is understood by the business, corporate functions, etc
- Play a lead role locally and collaborate with the regional/global teams in identification of key client pain points, solution scope and opportunities to promote State Street products across the franchise
- Develop and maintain strong product knowledge and understanding of competitive offerings
- Represent State Street at relevant industry events and conferences
- Participate in the Regional Deal Team Committees to facilitate the development of an appropriate risk culture and financial discipline.
- Collaborate with relevant management resources to drive product and messaging strategies to differentiate our solutions
- Maintain standards of conduct and integrity within the business and ensure compliance with industry practice, company policies, statute and regulatory requirements in all matters
- Provide coverage and service to existing clients in relationship manager capacity as needed

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree.
- 10+ years successful business development experience in financial services areas inclusive of sales, account and relationship management.
- Candidates who are working in fund managers, asset owner institutions, securities companies and insurance companies who have strong network with the industry will also be considered.
