What do we do?

Data Operations and Strategy Team (DOST) serve as a techno-functional team that drives data related projects and the overall data strategy for Finance. We own and manage key Finance, Treasury and Risk data repositories to support critical and regulatory processes. We drive solutions to ensure compliant use of authoritative data sources, implement governance and control framework for data management across the bank. We provide oversight, solutions and consulting. We are a part of Enterprise Data Governance initiatives and forums (Finance, Treasury, FP&A, Accounting and Regulatory Reporting.

What will I do?

  • Identify, integrate and manage required internal and external resources to provide business solutions for complex data-related issues and manage smaller projects simultaneously
  • Oversee the entire project life cycle of detailed project plans using an AGILE methodology with due diligence and analysis
  • Develop subject matter expertise on data model of the Finance and Treasury Data Repositories
  • Perform in-depth data analysis including building data-models and prototypes to understand customer requirements
  • Master an understanding of the end-to-end application framework
  • Interface directly with key stakeholders and project team members to understand the needs and objectives of the business
  • Design and maintain enterprise data warehouse systems. Define and document system interface requirements for enterprise financial systems. Independently compile, analyze and interpret information related to complex business system processing
  • Create test cases for system testing to ensure the system processes meet functional specification
  • Understand business process re-engineering, data management and governance processes, data flows and relationships and maintain high quality data standards
  • Design SQL queries and Business Intelligence tools and/or dashboards

What should an ideal candidate present?

  • 5+ years' experience as a Business/Data Analyst in a data-centric project environment
  • Knowledge of Finance and Treasury products
  • Willingness to take ownership and initiative as we do not micromanage
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Sound understanding of industry best practices/ methodologies; experience with relational structures, structured query language (SQL), data warehouse and reporting techniques
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization concepts (i.e. Spotfire, Cisco Information Server, Cognos or similar)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Risk-aware mindset
  • Understanding of ETL.
