As part of the Southern and Eastern Europe Artist and Label Partnerships (ALP) team within the Music Team at Spotify, you will be responsible for leading a team to nurture and cultivate partnerships with the region's labels while implementing impactful initiatives and campaigns. With the objective to ensure that key artists, managers, and labels see Spotify as the #1 partner for artist development and monetization, you will lead Spotify's efforts with labels and key industry collaborators as a senior member of the Label Partnerships team in SEE. This role is responsible for managing the team, providing careful and ongoing review of industry and audience insights, and partnering closely with various cross-functional teams at Spotify (including, without limitation, Editorial, Marketing, and PR) to achieve collective strategic goals for the Music Team across Southern and Eastern Europe and globally.

For the Head of ALP role, we seek a proven industry leader based in Milan with a strong music and technology background, experience fostering senior industry partner relationships and is a proven people manager, with a record of cultivating a culture of teamwork and collaboration. This leader must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and manage a team that is building, operating, and driving complex projects and campaigns.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee Spotify's relationship with labels and distribution partners in Southern and Eastern Europe, serving as an energetic and approachable senior executive representing Spotify.
  • Manage, mentor, and empower the Artist and Label Partnerships team, providing vision, strategic mentorship, and problem solving while guiding them through campaign planning, relationship building, and cross-functional process execution.
  • Track, review, and evaluate artist and label priorities, as well as culturally relevant moments, and identify in collaboration with a cross-functional team those artists that Spotify will support in on and off platform promotions.
  • Become fluent with Spotify data, insights and tooling to inform strategic marketing on and off platform!
  • Work directly with SEE label and distribution partners to gather insights and develop executive-level priority campaigns, from brief development, conception, production all the way through execution.
  • Work in partnership with the local and global editorial teams to ensure content strategies are localized and successfully implemented
  • Work cross-functionally with other internal teams to fulfill company strategic goals and cross-functional projects

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of leadership or management experience in the music industry
  • 10+ years of experience building either global marketing campaigns or handling complex projects and a shown ability to manage multiple top-priority projects simultaneously
  • An established passion for and engagement with the music community and are in tune to various genres and cultures of music coming out of Southern and Eastern Europe.
  • You have a strong music and technology background. You also have a deep understanding and a consistent record in music marketing and operations
  • You are fully conversant with the latest digital marketing techniques
  • Excellent negotiating, presentation and people skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships and can effectively handle relationships with senior executives
  • Exhibit a clear understanding of the marketplace, competitors, and current trends and innovations with strong relationships throughout the industry
  • You possess a perfect level of written and spoken English and a fluent level of written and spoken Italian and/or Spanish
  • You're a great teammate, adapt well to change, and have a positive attitude
  • Willingness to travel and participate in night and weekend events, where senior leadership presence is needed
