POSITION OVERVIEW
SEO Scholars is a free eight-year academic program that gets talented, low-income public high school students to and through college. Site Coordinators strategize and delegate the operational tasks of SEO Saturday Academy.

The Sites
Saturday Academy takes place at one of our partner sites through the semester where the Site Coordinator will be placed:
- 12th/9th Grade: Baruch College, (Vertical Campus Building, 55 Lexington Ave., New York).
- 10th/11th Grade: LIU Brooklyn, (1 University Plaza, Brooklyn).
Occasionally, Orientations and/or Professional Development for all grade assignments will be held either on Zoom or at the SEO Office:
- 55 Exchange Place, New York, NY (Financial District).
Dates & Weekly Hours:
- Spring Saturday Academy: Typically, 3 Saturdays a month. The exact dates vary based on where a site team member is placed.

- LIU program dates:
- January 11, 18, 25
- February 1, 8, 15

Key Responsibilities:
- Run of Show team lead - Ensure the site team is on track with set up through a programming day; communicate to all staff onsite on any changes regarding time or space onsite.
- Train team on how to navigate program technology – Assist in the site team training of Saturday attendance tracking, tech loan tracking, zoom chat request responses and lunch tracker.
- Troubleshoot technical issues onsite - Support staff and students with troubleshooting connection to Wi-Fi, Chromebook usage and projectors.
- Inventory lead - Submit a final count of all metro cards onsite and request materials by the end of each programming day. Ensure the site team completes a biweekly inventory count of all materials at homebase.
- Emergency Management support - Participate in and direct team members during emergency responses; tasks can include drills, evacuations and medicine distribution.
- General Program Support – Provide support for end of day closing procedures, moving program materials to storage and replenishing snacks.
- Program Culture – Project an energetic, engaging, and approachable persona to promote students’ connection to the program, investment in the learning experience, and positive relationship to all members of the community.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-orientation, and ability to multitask and handle challenging priorities.
- Highly resourceful and solutions-oriented; flexible to work either in-person or virtual environments when needed.
- Skilled at troubleshooting technical issues and able to train team members on site.
- Ability to give and receive constructive feedback with their manager and fellow site team members.
- Sound judgment, maturity and ability to communicate and serve as a role model to high school students.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
- Comfortable with directing large groups of students.
- Can lift and carry boxes up to 30 pounds.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This position is benefits ineligible in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
The compensation listed in this posting reflects what SEO believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and SEO reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
