As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and maintaining financial reports for management review and external filings. Your role will involve the analysis and interpretation of financial operating results, ensuring the accuracy of internal and external financial reports.

WHAT OUR SENIOR FINANCIAL REPORTING ANALYSTS ENJOY MOST

  • Preparing monthly report packages and supporting material, including internal and external data.
  • Analyzing and interpreting financial operating results and providing recommendations.
  • Assisting in the review of internal monthly reporting packages.
  • Evaluating data for consistency between various data sources and communicating inconsistencies, working on resolutions.
  • Assisting with special projects as they arise, which may include recommending cost or control improvement measures, conducting studies or analysis of business activities or financial data, and interpreting such data.
  • Assisting with research on accounting and financial reporting issues, as needed.
  • Coordinating administrative efforts associated with future equity and financing deals.
  • Developing, reviewing, and maintaining financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
  • Recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Communicating with various groups company-wide to maintain accounting policies and requirements.
  • Applying a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, verifying documents for completeness and compliance with government and private agencies.
  • Using various software applications, such as spreadsheets and accounting software, to assemble, manipulate, and format data and/or reports.
  • Performing other duties as required by the supervisor.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
  • Public Accounting or SEC reporting experience - 4-6
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
  • Knowledge of accounting theory and practices including GAAP and financial statement requirements required
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure
  • Ability to perform analytical calculations
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of Accounting or Financial Analyst Experience
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables and Sum-Ifs) and other reporting tools such as Hyperion or Business Objects
  • Master's degree or CPA
