BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

As a Sr Content Designer working with Spectrum's Self Service Products and Platforms team, you will be responsible for crafting in-product, cross-platform messaging and UX writing for mobile applications, responsive web applications, interactive program guides and more. You will be an expert in Spectrum's voice & tone standards and contribute to the design of innovative customer experiences by collaborating with product designers, UX researchers, accessibility specialists, product managers, and software developers.

WHAT OUR SENIOR CONTENT DESIGNERS ENJOY MOST:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Enhance the user experience of a product by crafting content to fit product needs such as product copy, instructional text, UI labels, error messaging, marketing copy, etc.
  • Responsible for consistent cross-product messaging across all digital channels (i.e. web, mobile, TV, wearables, print, voice).
  • Responsible for creating copy that works as part of a UX/UI design solution that is engaging and effective to help achieve business goals.
  • Function as the liaison with product managers, designers and developers to understand and write content that meets business and technical requirements.
  • Create and adhere to voice, tone, style and brand content guidelines.
  • Be open to editorial feedback from stakeholders and peers as well as flexible with incorporating feedback in the designs.
  • Advocate for the best customer experience.
  • Ownership of content/voice/tone of one or more products.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Writing experience: With at least 50% focus on UX writing - 6-8+ years
    • Experience with common productivity and design tools (MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.)
    • Experience or understanding of basic UX/product design principles
    • Experience leading creative projects
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Skills
    • Understands design thinking and user experience design best practices; in particular, understand the difference between copywriting and content design.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Effective time management skills and the ability to be self-directed.
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
    • Ability to collaborate and work well with others
    • Schedule: Full time
  • Travel Ability:
    • Office Environment
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with design and prototype tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar applications
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a focus on clarity, tone, and consistency.
    • Knowledge of organizing and structuring content in a way that enhances usability and accessibility.
    • Ability to analyze user feedback and data to inform content improvements and measure content performance.
    • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and demonstrate creativity in problem solving.

The base pay for this position generally is between $88,200.00 and $156,600.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
