CO Salary Range: USD 110,800.00 - 196,400.00 per year

Spectrum's Design Systems Team maintains a large-scale Design System called Kite. Kite supports hundreds of internal product teams by enabling them to more efficiently deliver cohesive user experiences at scale for the web, mobile, and TV platforms. Kite is comprised of a unifying design specification, Figma UI kits, and robust developer tooling such as design tokens, SDKS, and frameworks.

BE PART OF THE CONNECTION

As a Principle Designer I on Kite, you will consult with consumers to augment the system to new use cases and improve system implementation across a growing internal consumer community. This role will require experience in design systems and will serve as an expert serving multiple programs and teams by applying design discovery, workshop facilitation, and direct consumer consultation.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • Digital design experience - 8+ years
    • Experience with basic prototyping and interface design tools (Figma, Adobe Suite, Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Axure, etc.) - 6+ years
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Design/Art/HCI/Media/Related Field, or equivalent real world experience
  • Skills:
    • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of platform specific nomenclature
    • Demonstrated in-depth experience with creating highly-detailed annotated wireframes, user flows, and process flows within consumer applications
    • Expert knowledge of new design techniques
    • Expert knowledge of user-centered design (UCD) process methods to digital applications from concept to launch
    • Expert ability to sketch and generate big-picture ideas for early-stage UX work
    • Effective time management skills and the ability to be self-directed when needed
    • Effective client (presentation) communication skills and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
    • Demonstrated in-depth experience with project estimation
    • Demonstrated in-depth experience with planning and facilitating user research and usability tests needed
    • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of UX best practices
    • Expert ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
    • Ability to demonstrate UI and UX design skills via portfolio
    • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Travel Ability:
    • Office Environment
  • Schedule:
    • Full time

The base pay for this position generally is between $110,800.00 and $196,400.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
