TITLE: Principal Engineer I
LOCATION: Greenwood Village, CO
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for network engineering activities that maintain and enhance the company's telecommunications and signal processing hardware, software and electrical systems. Works closely with technical operations staff on Network design and configuration of Charter's IP network using advanced technical and design skills. Collaborate across numerous verticals as well as other design teams to establish unity and advises team leaders. Develop and implement network enhancements and make recommendations for improvement. Review and provide feedback on documentation of technical standards. Coordinate with other verticals to understand requirements, prerequisites, customer impact, and project prioritization for the business. Provide mentoring to junior staff and support these engineers for successful completion of projects.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience with network engineering, including IPv4 Networking and IPv6 Networking. 5 years of experience with network routing protocols, including OSPF, BGP, ISIS, and PIM. 5 years of experience with network switching protocols, including STP, SVI, VLAN, IRB, and BVI. 5 years of experience working with multiple vendor OS, including iOS, iOS-XR, JUNOS, or SR OS. 5 years of experience utilizing ticketing and network applications, including Jira, Aletheia, WAE, CA Peformance Center, Netbrain, and SharePoint. 5 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Software Suite, including use of Excel and Visio. Hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement is available.
Salaries depend on geography, experience, and education; negotiations begin at $161,886 per year.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $161,886.00 to $196,400.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
