TITLE: Lead DevOps Engineer
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Support code deployments across all AgentOS environments that support the agent experiences regarding Billing, Ordering, Field Operations, Provisioning, Repair, and Customer Experience. Design, development, implementation, and support of Charter's information technology systems and applications. Write automated scripts using Linux or Unix to support Java application deployments and work with IT security to ensure automations deployed follow Security guidelines and policies. Consult with engagement owners to resolve issues regarding operations, implementations, and system status. Collaborate with Project Managers, Managers, Architects, Directors, and Vice Presidents in setting strategies and tactical implementation of technologies that support application development. Research new technology projects and make strategic recommendations to management and leadership. Coordinate and perform operating system and application reconciliation maintenance, including backup and recovery processes for applications and databases. Develop business continuity plans, including monitoring system utilization and performance for capacity planning purposes. Act as technical expert to provide technical support and software upgrades for applications. Work with hardware and software support teams to provide advanced troubleshooting techniques during P1 and P2 issues. Provide guidance to database administrators in the configuration, tuning, and maintenance of databases. Communicate with hardware and software vendors to provide guidance on Charter requirements to configure software implementations of vendor products to best suit business needs. Work with Developers, Architects, System Administrators, and Software Analysts on continuous improvements. Deploy applications in lower and production environments.

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8 years of experience writing automated scripts using Linux or Unix to support Java application deployments. 6 years of experience: creating and running Ansible playbooks for deployment automation; deploying TIBCO and other such middleware APIs and triage products utilizing such architecture; with downstream enterprise services and integrating SOAP or Rest API web services into Java or Spring Boot. 4 years of experience with applying the fix packs, refresh packs and hot fixes on Middleware Products, and upgrading and migrating the Middleware Products in various environments. 2 years of experience utilizing Jira. *A hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement is available.
