JOB SUMMARY

As a Lead Content Designer, you'll be responsible for crafting in-product, cross-platform messaging that directly impacts the consumer experience. Contribute to the design of innovative solutions by collaborating with all involved teams and support new and existing features across multiple applications. Involved in leading innovative solutions and considered a subject matter expert for multiple programs/systems.

WHAT OUR LEAD CONTENT DESIGNERS ENJOY MOST

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Enhance the user experience of a product by crafting content to fit product needs such as product copy, instructional text, UI labels, error messaging, marketing copy, etc.
  • Responsible for consistent cross-product messaging across all digital channels (i.e. web, mobile, TV, wearables, print, voice).
  • Act as a specialist in the creation of copy that works as part of a UX/UI design solution that is engaging and effective to help achieve business goals.
  • Understands, demonstrates, and communicates accesibility best practices as related to content design.
  • Demonstrates proven knowledge of content design and UX design thinking processes to digital applications from concept to launch.
  • Function as the liaison and collaborate with product managers, designers and developers to understand and write content that meets business and technical requirements.
  • Implementor of guidelines and specialist for the creation and management of voice/tone/style/brand content guidelines.
  • Presents own and others' work with confidence to design leadership and senior executives.
  • Elicits editorial feedback from stakeholders and peers and incorporates feedback into the work product using diplomacy to find common ground and goals. In addition, to be able to offer design feedback to UX/UI designer-peers where appropriate.
  • Advocate for the customer experience within the organization.
  • Ownership of content/voice/tone of one or more products.
  • Develops new processes for documentation.
  • Coaches other content designers on the team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Ability to work and collaborate with others
  • In-depth understanding of design thinking and user experience design best practices; in particular, understand the difference between copywriting and content design
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to direct self and others
  • Effective experience or understanding of basic UX/product design principles
  • Experience leading creative projects and people

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years

  • Writing experience: With at least 50% focus on UX writing. - 8+
  • Experience with common productivity and design tools (MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • UX experience leveraging design tools (Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe Suite etc.)

The base pay for this position generally is between $98,900.00 and $175,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
