JOB SCOPE

Accountable for directing wireless operations analytics and overall service assurance strategy to deliver the most efficient and effective wireless operations focused on a superior customer experience.

Orchestrates and drives people, processes, platforms, and automation focused on proactive and predictive national wireless network operations within Technology Operations.

Thought leader working at the highest level of the organization to define, develop and implement solutions, interacting heavily with the development and systems teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

  • Responsible for leading strategy, development, and lifecycle initiatives for Charter's mobile wireless network service assurance program.
  • Accountable for continual development and refinement of processes for Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 service assurance.
  • Development of insightful Remedy and Jira ticket tracking &analysis; Ticketing and alarming automation & analysis (trends and patterns)
  • Responsible for providing service assurance requirements for 5G and WiFi RAN, core, and roaming platforms and tools, KPIs, KQIs, soft alarms, and hard alarms.
  • Implement novel methods to improve wireless operations and network performance based on industry best practices in product development and operations specific to mobile wireless telecommunications service assurance for WiFi 4/5/6/6E/7, 5G NR, and 5GC.
  • Monitors all domains of the mobile wireless network for proactive network optimization and continuous improvement, supporting best-in-class mobile wireless service for our customers.
  • Defines high-level and detailed business and technical requirements, drives the selection and deployment of innovative service assurance platforms, and spearheads internal development and delivery of ancillary service assurance systems supporting BSS/OSS, 5G NR RAN, 5G Core, Spectrum Access System (SAS), device, and DOCSIS backhaul.
  • Subject matter expert in platforms that provide fault management, configuration management, accounting statistics, performance management, security management, and network provisioning for mobile wireless networks.
  • Leads the development of data-driven solutions to Charter's wireless operations to spearhead process, organization, and fix action efficiencies.
  • Improve data-driven reporting that focuses the team on the biggest opportunities for improvement, reducing resolution time for issues through streamlined operations, improving the customer experience.
  • Works with other operations teams to seamlessly integrate new platforms and services.
  • Partners with senior leadership to validate vision and tactical approach to develop best-in-class wireless service assurance.
  • Leads a high-performing, cross-functional team to deliver development and launch objectives.
  • Manages development milestones, project timelines, budget and go to market activities.
  • Contributes to the Company vision of being the industry leader operations through quality, commitment, courtesy, and teamwork.
  • Manages financial parameters to quantify value and cost of initiatives.
  • Directs inputs and gain approval of key functional groups regarding product function or performance assumptions.
  • Works with engineering, product management peers, and other stakeholders on operational requirements and implementation strategy.

BASIC / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree Required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of Web application development or web program management experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of Product Management experience

  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of web technologies, software development management, systems integration, web design and application management approaches required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA preferred, but not required
  • Prefer degree related to the software development or application management field, individual coursework related to web development, systems integration and user interface design
  • Possesses a deep understanding of FCAPS model and ITSM. Knowledge of wireless network systems and functions, such as RAN (5G gNB/CBSD WiFi 4/5/6/6E/7 AP), fiber backhaul, DOCSIS backhaul, core (Wireless Access Gateways, 5G- AMF, AUSF, SMF, UPF, PCF, NSSF, NEF, UDM, NRF, UDR, AF), EMS/OSS, BSS, 5G devices, and other ancillary systems.
  • Working knowledge of 3GPP and IEEE standards. Understands service assurance process flows and triage.
  • Thorough understanding of Business Cable, Internet and/or transport systems and services
  • Ability to lead matrix teams: must be comfortable in a highly visible role; a great consensus builder and the clear champion of their area of responsibility.
  • Ability to influence other organizations and rally key stakeholders within the company to achieve key objectives.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel as well as in public forums.
  • Great organizational and office management skills.

The base pay for this position generally is between $124,000.00 and $220,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
