As a Director on the Information Security, Engineering team, you'll be responsible for directing and implementing corporate IT initiatives that support the strategy and goals of the corporation. Organizes and directs Information Security Engineering Application and Data Security functions, including secure code review, database security and software, applications programming, analysis and administration. Implements Information Security standards, policies and/or master plan for the Information Security Engineering function. Guides the development and acquisition of new technologies and tools to improve the organization's internal operations and data delivery. Continually evaluates technology strategies. Implements new technological directions. Guides the organization in their deployment. Advises Information Security leadership of enhancements to existing applications and implementation of new systems. Provides strategic guidance and technical assistance to Information Security Engineering staff and business partners.

WHAT OUR INFORMATION SECURITY OPERATIONS DIRECTORS ENJOY MOST

  • Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Oversees a sector of the Information Security Engineering functional area.
  • Implements Information Security Engineering plans according to the Information Security and corporate strategy.
  • Guides the maintenance and enhancement of hardware and software systems that support application and data security business applications and secure code development business requirements.
  • Directs Information Security staff to ensure uninterrupted Information Security application and data security workload support at maximum performance.
  • Ensures compliance with IT standards, policies and procedures.
  • Accountable for the function's budgets and approves related capital expenditures.
  • Assists with the creation and successful management of multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Assists with negotiating multi-million dollar contracts with third-party vendors.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • IT work experience - 7-10 years
    • Leadership experience - 5-7 years
    • Project management experience - 3-5 years
  • Education: BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Technical Skills:
    • Basic computer skills, with proficiency with Word, Power Point and Excel
    • Knowledge of computer and/or network systems, applications, procedures and techniques
    • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
    • Demonstrated knowledge of information technologies and methodologies related to assigned Information Security segment or area
    • Demonstrated in-depth technical skills with knowledge of a wide variety of tools and technologies and extensive knowledge in a subset of these skill
  • Skills:
    • Experience leading others and providing constructive feedback
    • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
    • Skilled in organizing resources and establishing priorities
    • Ability to work with others to resolve problems, handle requests or situations
    • Displays a sense of urgency to resolve issues quickly and efficiently

    • Ability to skillfully synthesizes large quantities of complex information under pressure. Distills it to the most critical issues and draws accurate conclusions, taking into account a high degree of uncertainty
    • Experience relaying sensitive information to appropriate parties
    • Keeps clients, superiors, peers, and direct reports updated based on their information needs
  • Abilities: Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Application Security Posture Management
  • Knowledge of secure code development best practices
  • Knowledge of Database Security best practices
  • Experience with securing custom code development
  • Experience with Jenkins or GitLab
  • Experience with database security products such as Imperva; Akamai; F5
