As the Software Procurement Director, you will lead strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, spend analysis/management, and team member development. You will partner with business leaders to reduce the total cost of ownership and deliver incremental value. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining strong linkages with stakeholders and maximizing supplier relationships through effective strategic sourcing and contracting processes. Additionally, you will provide leadership, training, and guidance to staff to support their overall development.

WHAT OUR SOFTWARE PROCUREMENT DIRECTORS ENJOY MOST

  • Serving as a subject matter expert for all type of Software and related services including perpetual, term and subscription agreements, maintenance and support, and other IT products.
  • Analyzing various software cost models/options and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Developing complex software sourcing strategies and category plans that span across the business.
  • Performing required business analysis with key stakeholders to align business priorities with procurement initiatives.
  • Leading the supplier selection process through management of formal RFP, RFQ and RFI processes.
  • Leading very complex multi-BU sourcing initiatives across the enterprise.
  • Utilizing Procurement expertise to develop in-depth knowledge of suppliers and evaluate their capabilities to help drive solutions for our internal stakeholders.
  • Determining, overseeing and performing the negotiation and contract management of large-scale, enterprise-wide volume purchase agreements.
  • Overseeing supplier contract performance - acting as an escalation point in the event of non-performance.
  • Managing supplier relationships and contract activities in support of the business.
  • Developing, monitoring and amending departmental processes and procedures to ensure effective administration of agreements and centralization of procurement activities.
  • Leveraging systems including Contract management, P2P and Supplier management to improve sourcing strategies and communication with suppliers.
  • Training and developing management staff to ensure alignment of departmental activities with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Managing direct reports through leveraging team member skills, coaching, and identifying developmental activities to achieve department goals.

As part of the Procurement Department, you will be a driving force behind the strategic sourcing and purchasing of goods and services that power Spectrum. Through strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, we work tirelessly to bring innovation and efficiency to every aspect of our procurement process

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience:
    • Software procurement experience - 5 + years
    • Experience in general procurement, contract negotiation, and contract management 8+ years
    • Experience managing and developing employees - 5 + years
    • Experience in eProcurement technology (Ariba preferred)
  • Abilities:
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
    • Ability to be self-driven with an adaptive leadership style and a passion for procurement
    • Ability to source and manage complex negotiations
    • Ability to create effective business relationships while influencing change
    • Ability to focus on total cost of ownership
    • Ability to display ethics and Integrity

    The base pay for this position generally is between $124,000.00 and $220,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
