As a Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring prompt procurement, delivery, and receipt of specific products and services, striving for the most cost-effective solutions. Utilize your expertise in purchasing principles, theories, and procedures to guarantee the availability of suitable products at optimal timing, pricing, and quality levels.

WHAT OUR BUYERS ENJOY MOST

  • Actively and consistently supporting efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Managing complex purchase orders through all stages (creation, change, tracking, closure, and deletion).
  • Collaborating with more complex BU's to understand purchase requirements and support business needs.
  • Managing the 3-way match process through closure.
  • Verifying and validating requested purchases align with standard practices or escalating as needed.
  • Developing and maintaining productive relationships in the supplier community, including minority vendors and diversity programs.
  • Assisting in auditing vendor performance on invoice and shipment discrepancies, communicating results for issue resolution.
  • Contributing to cost control initiatives by participating in vendor reduction, product standardization, excess material liquidation, item master cleanup, and maintenance activities.
  • Maximizing company value by effectively auditing vendor performance on invoice and shipment discrepancies, communicating results for issue resolution.
  • Providing support to less experienced staff.
  • Supporting Sourcing with RFQ/RFPs between suppliers and internal departments, including analyzing items, cost, and usage.
  • Performing other assigned and/or required duties.

As part of the Procurement Department, you will be a driving force behind the strategic sourcing and purchasing of goods and services that power Spectrum. Our expertise in securing the best possible price, quality, and overall value helps to ensure Spectrum's continued growth and success. Through strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, we work tirelessly to bring innovation and efficiency to every aspect of our procurement process.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Knowledge of physical database structures, disaster recovery and best practices
  • Troubleshooting skills with ability to isolate and resolve problems
  • Ability to build trust and relationships with Procurement, IT and end users/Business Units
  • Demonstrated ability to be detail orientation with emphasis on accuracy and analysis of various data structures
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and seek input to prioritize
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • 3-5 years of Experience in purchasing life cycle methodology
  • 1-3 years of Experience in negotiation, and project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred

The base pay for this position generally is between $60,900.00 and $97,500.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
