We are looking for a Seasonal, IT Support Specialist to provide expert support Fridays-Sundays, 5:00am to 5:00pm. This position will work 36 hours per week for the estimated duration of 6 months.
Seasonal Employees are Benefits eligible except for participation in our 401K plan after 60 days of employment.
Position Objective
The IT Support Specialist provides support to end users for computer, application, system, device, access and hardware issues. Identifies, researches and resolves the most complex technical problems. Responds to telephone, email and on-line requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem using applicable systems and tools. Coordinates with other teams or specialists to resolve an issue. May be responsible for the resolution of escalated issues of higher difficulty. May train, coach or assist less experienced team members. May require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide technical (Help Desk) support to staff.
- Advise and help in implementation of technology for business use.
- Develop and support methods and procedures for synchronous technology adoption (video conferencing, Voice over IP, Chat).
- Develop and create documentation and support materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
- Actively update, maintain and monitor all aspects of computer networks.
- Provide remote troubleshooting solutions to resolve technical issues to network and operating system outages.
- Work closely with other departments for collaborating IT projects.
- Train other staff and stakeholders on technical issues as needed.
- Provide technical support to web conferencing system users.
- Provide remote troubleshooting solutions for computer or operating system issues that affect course delivery.
- Light design and programming work related to file transfers or automated scripting.
- Analyze complex computer systems, identify problems, and develop and implement logical conclusions and effective solutions.
- Develop and recommend cost effective technical system improvements.
- Operate a personal computer and manage servers using program applications appropriate to assigned duties.

Required Education and Experience
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, or related field OR a combination of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT including network repairs and analysis
- Experience with computer repairs and troubleshooting
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems
- Familiarity with both PC and Mac hardware and software
- Good customer service skills -
