INTEGRATION SPECIALIST (FALCON TRANSPORT OPERATIONS)

SpaceX is seeking a talented individual for a critical Integration Specialist role on the Falcon Transport Operations team. This team member will be responsible for the environmental health of payloads during transports and the payload transport Environment Control System (ECS). This team member will seek proactive solution to enable streamlined process. This role will require a wide range of skills and a self-driven attitude that will be essential to support demanding schedules and changing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintain the health of all payloads during transport operations
  • Develop and execute processes to meet transporter configuration requirements
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally to understand transporter configuration requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring proper adherence to said requirements, specifically the Environment Control System (ECS)
  • Maintain the ECS for our transporter
  • Operation of Hangar ECS system
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and the work environment; support productivity improvements
  • Maintain calibrated and non-calibrated tool inventories, purchase replacement tools as needed and identify new tooling solutions to increase efficiency in the work center
  • Collaborate with engineering staff from other departments and SpaceX locations to resolve off-nominal issues and ensure flight readiness
  • Maintain clear communication with engineering, technician, and logistics teams as required
  • Assist production teams with corrective actions

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 4+ years of hands on experience in manufacturing or maintenance operations

PREFFERED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience with HVAC systems
  • Experience with payload and cleanroom operations
  • Experience with manufacturing or production of fluid systems and mechanical assemblies
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Able to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging environment 
  • Ability to work Autonomously
  • Urgency to complete and improve mundane tasks that require expertise and attention to detail 
  • Self-starter that is able to find projects without direction to improve efficiency on the floor 
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications 
  • Knowledge of high pressure pneumatic, hydraulic and cryogenic fluids systems 
  • Understanding of fluids system schematics and procedures related to launch operations 
  • Able to be diplomatic with a variety of individuals across the organizational infrastructure 
  • Knowledge of mechanical hardware (fluid fittings, fasteners, etc.)  

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Must be willing to travel at least 10% of schedule to other SpaceX locations
  • Must be flexible with work hours

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Pay range: 

Integration Specialist/Level 1: $30.00 - $38.00/hour
Integration Specialist/Level 2: $34.00 - $43.00/hour
Integration Specialist/Level 3: $38.00 - $48.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
