Become a Regional Construction Manager at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll be responsible for the overall management of contractors performing the construction and maintenance of the distribution electrical system, including project-related activities within the region. Project work could include work scope within the strategically sourced contracts, competitive bidding awards and T&E. Work volume could dictate the need for up to 50 contract crews, executing capital, T&E and project work. The Regional Construction Manager will be responsible for the successful completion of work/projects assigned to contract crews within the Metro West Region covering Compton District, Whittier District, Long Beach District, Santa Monica District, and South Bay District. The Metro West Region "Regional Construction Manager" will be responsible for the management of up to 12 employees made up primarily of Project General Supervisors and Material Ops Senior Specialists spread across contractor project stores and satellite staging areas.

Responsibilities
- Oversees contractors/suppliers during construction and ensures warranty work corrections are completed, addressing any issues that arise through the implementation of corrective actions
- Coordinates detailed constructability reviews on clearances, guying, anchoring, and documentation
- Reviews staking sheets, material orders, inspector daily logs, and commissioning reports for regulatory standards
- Coaches supervisors on managing joint pole procedures and curb permitting processes
- Collaborates with other regions on contracted pricing, standard assemblies/drawings, and training programs
- Coordinates outage management, emergency response plans and outage reporting with district managers
- Monitors contract crews for safe and productive work practices, adherence to safety protocols and procedures in all operations
- Reviews, authorizes, validates, and tracks construction work orders and project scope, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner and resources are utilized properly
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years combined experience performing or supervising safe, reliable, and efficient contractor field operations through performance data analysis, contractor oversight and management, and contractor crew usage optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience working with a contract workforce.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
