Become a Quality Assurance Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll facilitate and lead cross functional teams through a systematic cause analysis process to determine the cause(s) and corrective action(s) for quality, and performance related events. Throughout the analysis process, the Quality Assurance Advisor will need to thoroughly and quickly research and interpret the application of various work processes, equipment operations, data, regulations, and procedures. Communicate, present, and negotiate complex information with managers, supervisors, craft employees, and engineers. The Advisor's final cause evaluation written report is distributed to executives, senior leaders, business stakeholders and partners/owners and Legal when applicable. This position directly supports continuous improvement efforts& in different Operational Units (OUs - T&D, SP&E etc.). . Responsibilities
- Tracks and analyzes performance, providing feedback and recommendations on methods to improve quality
- Drives quality assurance improvement plans and uses in-depth knowledge of best practices to implement improvements, facilitating continuous improvements by assessing process and product measures
- Oversees, participates in the design, development, and execution of and ensures data-related work is performed according to company policies and procedures
- Develops training curriculum and educates all levels of the organization in process and performance improvement methods and tools
- Provides support to strategy and policy development and ensures delivery within area of responsibility
- Identifies opportunities for process enhancements across the organization and participates in process improvement initiatives
- Evaluates best practices of data gathering, record maintenance and documentation within the industry, identifies compliance risks and implements risk mitigation to enable innovative solutions
- Analyzes business processes, identifies alternative solutions to replace outdated processes and assesses their feasibility
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience with advanced data analytics, reporting and developing process improvement opportunities to ensure quality of processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four or more years of experience performing cause analysis, quality analysis, claims investigations, and/or auditing.
- Experience synthesizing data and observations into substantiated findings, and effectively communicate the results both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field
- Experience facilitating and leading team meetings.
- Experience working in the electric utility industry
- Experience and/or knowledge of the Initiate, Plan, Schedule, Execute, and Close (IPSEC) processes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
