Become a Performance & Resource, Senior Supervisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll serve as the Performance Supervisor and manage all district scheduling, performance metrics, scorecards, and be the conduit between the district's planning and operations department.
Key Focus of Role
- Performance Management: Maintains performance management tools to drive crew productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction; track monthly scorecard results and develop performance improvement initiatives; provide timely, consistent, and accurate feedback regarding performance and recognize employees who demonstrate exemplary performance; and spearhead initiatives to drive performance improvement.
- Workload Management: Supports work order coordination and scheduling procedures at a high-level; project and manage workload three weeks into the future and beyond by assigning work to crews, overseeing long-term schedule for balance and overall date compliance with the goal of optimizing crew productivity.
- Yard Management: Supervises personnel in Yard Management who are engaged in the preparation of material for multiple projects and district Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
- Business Objectives: Establishes, develops, and drives business objectives and plans.
- Operational Excellence: Establishes and maintains high standards of excellence, communicating frequently and openly, engaging others in the solution of performance management problems and responding professionally to personnel requirements.
- Safety: Creates and maintains a safety conscious work environment by leading and influencing others to follow Edison safety protocols and safe work practices

Responsibilities
- Drives performance improvement initiatives, providing consistent and accurate performance feedback to employees and promoting a safety-conscious culture
- Manages all district performance metrics, monthly scorecard results, and overall performance feedback
- Establishes and executes business objectives and plans, engaging others in the solution of performance management problems and enforcing adherence to all applicable regulations and procedures
- Supports work order coordination and scheduling at a high-level, planning three weeks or more into the future
- Utilizes and maintains performance management tools to drive crew productivity, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction, driving adherence to safety protocols in all organizational areas
- Provides supervision and support to personnel in yard management who are responsible for preparing materials for multiple projects and Environmental Health and Safety policies
- Assigns work to crews, maintaining overall balance and date compliance, and resolves operational issues quickly and effectively
- Recognizes any outstanding employees who demonstrate exemplary performance
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Four or more years combined experience performing and/or supervising activities related to the design, analyzing metrics, construction, and maintenance, and/or scheduling activities associated with the electric system.
- Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four or more years of experience in electrical construction, planning, inspection, or coordination.
- Experience with Initiate, Plan, Schedule, Execute, and Close (IPSEC) model and/or scheduling procedures.
- Experience overseeing and assessing performance metrics and other performance-related data sources.
- Experience managing or overseeing multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience using ClickSchedule, SAP, Work It, Power BI and SAS software and familiarization with procedures and processes for each.
- Experience and knowledge of district Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
- Experience with the application of the IBEW collective bargaining agreement and handling labor relations issues.
- Experience serving as an Operations Supervisor, Planning Manager, Field Supervisor, Energy Delivery & Distribution Specialist, Performance & Resources Analyst, or in a related Performance & Resource Management (PRS) role.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

- Position will require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
- This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
