Become a Field Safety Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you will support the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Organizational Unit. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in electric utility systems to guide and influence our safety programs, policies, and procedures. You'll build strong relationships to enhance our safety culture, acting as the safety conscience for our front-line leaders and employees. Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring an injury-free workplace. Your role will involve coaching on safety practices, implementing safety plans, and supporting various safety initiatives to drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Identifies areas for improvement and recommends changes to safety policies and procedures, leading the execution of process hazard analyses (PHA) and ensuring follow-up on recommendations
- Coordinates support to ensure compliance with EHS requirements on current and future project work
- Monitors, interprets and communicates summaries of standards and regulatory requirements to assure proactive management of risk
- Prepares monthly EHS reports which are communicated up to and including board level
- Recommends solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures and reports on EHS awareness, issues and statistics
- Leads and coordinates the inspection of company facilities and work sites and, where needed, recommends corrective actions to ensure compliance with established EHS regulations
- Drives initiatives to reduce the number and severity of occupational incidents; preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- Collaborates closely with regulatory agencies to foster and promote a relationship based on trust, openness, and transparency
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Seven or more years of experience leading and developing health and safety compliance programs, activities and systems.
- Posses a valid Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Environmental, Engineering, Business, Safety, or related field
- Completion Electrical Utility Craft Apprenticeship Training
- Knowledge of CAL/OSHA and other governmental regulations relating to the electric utility industry.
- Experience participating in safety investigations, determining root causes, and recommending solutions.
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP) or other applicable safety certifications.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience performing analyses and making recommendations for improvements in work methods.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
