Responsibilities
- Participates in regular audits and inspections of operations areas to ensure compliance with all regulatory programs, site environmental policies, procedures and requirements of the Environmental Management System
- Evaluates new regulations and coordinates compliance plan, remaining informed of the latest environmental science subject matter and techniques
- Develops technical reports and environmental documents and procures services or materials for the administration and implementation of environmental and safety programs
- Provides high level oversite for desk-based research, fieldwork, and/or laboratory work, including measurements, data interpretation, and computer modeling
- Identifies potential safety prevention risks and recommends corrective measures
- Prepares complex data and visualizations such as soil analyses, groundwater assessments, maps, geologic cross-sections, and other illustrations
- Coordinates with and monitors operations and maintenance personnel to ensure site compliance with environmental, chemical safety, waste management, and wildlife management rules and regulations
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in environmental compliance and permitting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in an analytical position.
- 2 or more years of experience gathering, processing, and presenting findings from large sets of data.
- Possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills to drive for results.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to leverage collective knowledge.
- Familiar with all environmental compliance areas.
- Familiar with SCE's Operational Units (OU) activities.
- Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Customer focused to understand and respond appropriately to clients' business needs and support corporate goals.
- Experience in managing expectations and providing superior customer services to key stakeholders.
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
