Become a Business Operations Manager (Technical Data and Tools) at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. You will be at the helm of developing the strategy to manage the existing tools, consolidation efforts, influencing the creation of efficient tools and solutions, and fostering continuous improvement aimed at reducing unnecessary waste that may be embedded within tools across Distribution Engineering. Responsibilities
- Typically manages exempt personnel
- Leads the implementation of business operating plans which align with department or Operating Unit's business strategy and short, medium-term objectives
- Leads the delivery of support to a business function, coordinating the execution of key projects and initiatives by helping to facilitate project meetings, and develop, track and close out project accomplishments, and track/present status
- Guides the prioritization of strategic planning scenarios which effectively address business challenges while successfully achieving operational performance metrics
- Supports and implements business metrics, evaluate impact of new and existing initiatives, and initiate and implement changes to improve ongoing operations
- Leads strategy and design to maximize employee performance and company ROI
- Develops and continuously improve analytics and processes to increase productivity of operations
- Administers projects including planning, strategizing, coordination, implementation and quality control
- Identifies and communicates insights, model processes and functions, limitations, and risk assessments to leadership as necessary to justify recommendations aligned to the department or Operating Unit objectives
- Delivers and implements company operational policies and procedures to ensure work goals are met and completed within a given timeframe
- A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
- Five or more years combined experience performing or supervising business operations analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics), Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience prioritizing activities, delegating, monitoring assignments, and driving team members and partners to achieve impactful results
- Five or more years of experience in data management or technology implementation
- Knowledge of staffing, contract management, budgeting and forecasting
- Experience in developing and leveraging metrics to create tools that enhance processes, boost productivity, and reduce costs
- Utlity industry experience
Additional Information
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.\u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.\u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
